CASSANDRA By: Clyde Machine
With the heart-chilling winds cutting across her face, she stands with only her conviction to aid her in the forthcoming battle. The only solace she finds in the nightmare now staring her down from the shielded faces of 1000 adversaries is the fact that her conviction is distilled into the blade and shield in her hands and the armour covering her breast and body.
The battle ensues, but all is not well. The last night she spent with her family lingers on the edges of her mind, and distracts her long enough to bolster her confidence. Hours pass. But lo: she walks away alone, allies and adversaries lying in a valley grave at her feet. |
